New Delhi: In a bizarre incident that recently unfolded in China’s Shanxi province, a man kneeled down in front of his daughter for not being able to buy her an iPhone.
According to the reports, the incident occurred in Taiyuan on May 4, 2024, when an 11-year-old girl got into an intense argument with her dad for being unable to get her an iPhone.
Taking a dig at her poor father’s financial incapacity to buy her the gadget, she yelled at him saying, “Parents of other kids are getting them iPhones why only you don’t have enough money?.”
Hearing this, her father then immediately got on his knees and apologized to her for being poor. Kneeling down in the middle of the road, he shook his head in disappointment while blaming himself for his miserable financial status.
However, this unexpected gesture by her dad left the young girl dumbfounded as she immediately told him to get up quickly & stop embarrassing them in public.
Felt Bad For Father
Meanwhile, a passerby pedestrian Zhong witnessed the duo in the act & captured a video of them with his mobile phone. He later shared the same on the Chinese social media app Xiaohongshu where it went viral & sparked massive outrage amongst the netizens within no time.
Later on, Zhong also spoke about the incident with the South China Morning Post & told them that he felt extremely bad for the father after seeing the daughter’s rudeness towards him. Recalling his emotions, the guy even went on saying how he felt the urge to walk up to the little girl & slap her for her actions.

Sharing their take on the concerning incident, many netizens also expressed their anger on the child for her inappropriate behavior with her dad.
While some took to the comment section and blamed her parenting, others slammed her dad for kneeling down, asserting that such things will only make her daughter more arrogant in the future.
