Bitcoin up by 12% after Elon Musk’s latest tweets about the crypto mining

Bitcoin was still up by 8% on Tuesday morning while being 40% down compared to the all time high recorded in early April.

New Delhi: Elon Musk, founder and CEO of Tesla, asked his Twitter followers on Monday to submit ideas to Dogecoin on GitHub or the Dogecoin subreddit page on Reddit while tagging the developers of the cryptocurrency. In another tweet he also mentioned about speaking to North American crypto miners about using renewable energy to mine coins like Bitcoin.

These latest tweets has made Bitcoin recover and touched the mark of $40k once again on Tuesday. Musk tweeted that he had “potentially promising talks” with North American Bitcoin miners about using energy consering methods in mining the cryptocurrency.

He wrote, “Spoke with North American Bitcoin miners. They committed to publish current & planned renewable usage & to ask miners WW to do so. Potentially promising.”

Bitcoin jumped more than 12% to reach a 24-hour high of $39,983 while slipping back to $38,400 on Tuesday morning. Bitcoin was still up by 8% on Tuesday morning while being 40% down compared to the all time high recorded in early April.

Bitcoin started losing its value by a huge margin after Elon Musk announced two weeks back that Tesla would no longer accept Bitcoin as payment due to its consumption of fossil fuels during the mining process.
