New Delhi: Yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved has been asked by the government to provide details of Ayurvedic medicines (Coronil) it launched today claiming they can cure coronavirus within seven days.
The company has also been ordered to stop advertising or publicizing such claims until they have been examined.
This comes following Patanjali’s claim that they have found a cure for COVID-19, the ministry and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that they were not involved.
100 per cent recovery rate within 3-7 days
Patanjali launched ‘Coronil and Swasari’, what it claims is the Ayurvedic cure for treating COVID-19, which they said has been shown 100 per cent favourable results during clinical trials on affected patients, at Patanjali Yogpeeth here. “The whole country and the world was waiting for medicine or vaccine for corona. We are proud to announce that the first Ayurvedic, clinically controlled trial based evidence and research-based medicine has been prepared by the combined efforts of Patanjali Research Centre and NIMS,” Yoga Guru Ramdev said at the press conference here adding that it has shown “100 per cent recovery rate within 3-7 days.”

Coronavirus in India
With an increase of 14,821 new cases and 445 deaths, India’s COVID-19 count crossed 4.25 lakh on Monday. The country has reported a total of 4,25,282 cases and 13,699 persons have died.
The Health Ministry said that 9,440 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours and the country’s recovery rate has gone up to 55.77 per cent.
