New Delhi: The second wave of Covid-19 grappled India in the month of April and May. The central government has revised the Covid-19 vaccination guidelines in the country with speculations about the inevitability of the third wave of Covid-19. Marking a turning point in vaccinating over a billion-plus population for the Covid-19, India administered a record more than 80 lakh vaccinations in just 1 day.
In the new phase of the universalisation of the COVID19 vaccination drive, the Union Government has planned to procure and supply (free of cost) 75 per cent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country to States and UTs.
The Union Health Ministry has informed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered under the nationwide vaccination drive has reached 30,79,48,744.
Delhi which was among the worst-hit states by the second wave of the coronavirus performed below the mark in the country-wide inoculation drive. As per reports, Delhi is lacking behind in vaccine coverage in comparison to its neighboring states.
Where NCR regions like Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar districts on Thursday recorded their single-day highest vaccination coverage for the highest number of doses administered, Delhi is lacking to provide Covid jabs.
Instead of spending money on vaccines, the Delhi government is focused to cover up its failures by spending a lot of public money on advertisements.
Today many big newspapers carried out a full first-page advertisement by the AAP govt, approaching people to get vaccinated. In the poster, Delhi government tried to get credit by appealing to the people to get registered at the CoWIN portal to get vaccinated.
@ArvindKejriwal has to appear in Ads costing hundreds of crores even after getting severe rap on the knuckles.
