CBSE proposes 2 options on holding Class 12 exams, States boards to take a call

Sources said the government is likely to favour a short format exam, and the state boards will be allowed to take their own decision.

New Delhi: It is expected that the board exams for Class 12 will be conducted for only 20 subjects. CBSE has suggested two options for the Class 12 board exams, which were postponed in view of the second wave of Covid infection. A final decision on the matter is expected on Tuesday.

Sources said the government is likely to favour a short format exam, and the state boards will be allowed to take their own decision.

According to sources, objective-type questions will be framed for the students appearing in the examinations for major subjects. As for the state boards, they have been given the freedom to take the call on the respective state boards.
