New Delhi: Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan lately found himself on the target of trolls after his old forgotten tweet about ‘Bra” recently went viral on Social media.
The seemingly funny tweet that was dropped by the veteran actor in the year 2010 didn’t trigger any considerable controversies back then. However, as time went by, netizens started questioning Amitabh over his inappropriate and not-so-funny joke and even went on schooling the Don actor saying that he should act his age.

In his 13-year-old controversial tweet, Big-B made some remarks about women’s undergarments and jokingly questioned, “Why is ‘bra’ singular and ‘panties’ plural ?”
However, instead of receiving laughs and funny responses to his question from the netizens, Amitabh’s question attracted sheer criticism from the public who slammed the actor saying that such cheap jokes don’t suit an actor of his calibre.
Expressing his anger at Amitabh’s not-so-funny joke, one Twitter user wrote, “KBC LEVEL QUESTION !! What’s wrong with your insight ..this is not a WhatsApp group of your batchmates .. tweet ..crass..have some decency in public man !!
Another user said, “How can you ask such vulgar questions publically despite being such a reputed man?”
A third user tried to answer Amitabh’s question and told that Bra is a short form of Brassière which is not an English but a French word.

Amitabh Bachchan’s work front
On the professional front, Big-B will be next seen in Nag Ashwin’s directorial Kalki 2898 AD which will hit the big screens next year on 12 January. The Movie’s star-studded cast will feature Amitabh alongside Pan-Indian actor Prabhas, Bollywood diva Deepika and South Indian actor Kamal Hassan.
Besides Kalki 2898 AD, the 80-year-old actor is also a part of Vikas Bahl’s dystopian action movie Ganpath in which he will be seen alongside Tiger Sherof.
Other than the movies, Bollywood’s Shenshah will also be seen hosting the fifteenth edition of the popular reality show KBC which will be telecasted on Sony Liv by the end of August’s first week. Amitabh has already begun shooting for the show and even dropped some intriguing pictures from its sets a few days back.
