New Delhi: Singer Adnan Sami released his latest song ‘Alvida’ on July 28. This is his first song after a long gap of almost 2 years. The singer recently deleted all his Instagram posts and posted a video titled Alvida, which left all his fans confused and guessing.
The song is sung and composed by Adnan Sami himself, while the lyrics are penned by popular lyricist Kausar Munir. The video of the song, directed by Ritika Bajaj, stars Sarah Khatri alongside Sami. The video showcases a one-sided love story with a twist in the end. The sound and the visuals, having a piano, windows and lamps, give a typical Adnan Sami love song feel.

The song is produced under the label of Saregama India, and the makers quote Rumi in the YouTube caption of the song. The quote reads, “Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes…. Since, for those who love with their heart and soul, there is no such thing as separation.” According to the producers, ‘Alvida’ resonates with this thought presented by Rumi.
Talking about the song, Adnan Sami said that ‘Alvida’ is his way to say goodbye to his old self and welcoming ‘Adnan 2.0’. He added that the aim of the song was to give the audience ‘A melodious foot tapping track with soulful lyrics.’
As his fans were confused about why he deleted all his social media posts, the singer announced the song and wrote, “Not saying ALVIDA.. Just giving a new emotion to A…L…V…D…A…” His fans are elated by the song.
