Akshay Kumar has always been a loyal guest on India’s biggest comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ hosted by stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma. Akshay Kumar promoted almost all his recent films on the show. However, as per the reports going around the internet, it seems that Akshay Kumar will not be promoting his upcoming film ‘Bachchan Pandey.’
Apparently, the reports state that the Bell Bottom star is upset with the comedian and his team for leaking one of the fun moments from an episode on the show. The reports suggest that Akshay Kumar requested that his past interview with PM Narendra Modi that was discussed in the show with Kapil, should be dropped from the show. Though the clipping was not aired, it later leaked and went viral. Reportedly, this made Akshay refuse to promote his upcoming film in The Kapil Sharma Show.
The video showed Kapil a fun mockery moment where Kapil mentions Akshay discussing mangoes in his interview with a prominent personality. Indirectly, the comedian was mocking Akshay’s interview with Narendra Modi. During the conversation, Akshay challenged Kapil to name the personality, however, the latter cunningly diverted the topic.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, a source was quoted saying, “Akshay took all of Kapil’s jokes head-on but the dig on the PM interview seemed to mock the dignity of such a high office. So Akshay requested the channel to not air that question. It is a right of the guests to make such a request as the show is not live. The channel agreed, but the said scene was leaked on the internet soon after.” The source further added, “It was a breach of trust on the part of someone in Kapil’s team, and Akshay sought a clarification before he appears on the show again.”
Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma clarified the tension that was building in the minds of the fans of Akshay Kumar as well as Kapil Sharma. Taking to Twitter, Kapil Sharma said that everything is fine between him and Akshay. The comedian stated that he has spoken to the actor and sorted the issue. Further, he said that they will be shooting an episode featuring Akshay soon.
A source in an interview with The Indian Express said, “The schedule of Bachchan Pandey and the shoot of The Kapil Sharma Show is not matching. The team has been working tirelessly to build a bank as Kapil has a prior shoot commitment towards the end of the month. This is the reason they might not be on the show. However, they are still working on the dates.”

Akshay Kumar’s film Bachchan Pandey is all set to hit the theatres on the occasion of Holi, that is, March 18. Apart from Akshay, the movie will feature Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi as well as Jacqueline Fernandez, and Pankaj Tripathi.
