Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi: Scene on India’s first PM Jawaharlal Nehru, embedding a rose on Gangubai modified

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi  a UA certificate with some minor cuts.

Gangubai Kathiawadi, is Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and is all set to hit the theatres on February 25.

According to reports, the scene featured India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, embedding a rose on Gangubai, has been modified. Well, reports said that the duration has been only reduced by only a minute or two.

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ also stars Ajay Devgn in a pivotal role.

The period drama has been adapted from one of the chapters of noted author Hussain Zaidi’s book, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ and features Alia in the lead role of Gangubai, one of the most powerful, loved and respected madams from Kamathipura during the 1960s.

On the work front, apart from Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt will also be seen in ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, ‘Darlings’and ‘RRR’
