New Delhi: USA Supermodel Gigi Hadid was arrested last week after the possession of weed named ‘Marijuana’ in her luggage while vacationing in the Cayman Islands with her friends. As per the reports authorities found Marijuana in her luggage as soon as she arrived on the Island. The Supermodel ventured on a girl’s trip to Cayman Island on July 10 where she was arrested at the Owen Roberts International Airport but later on Hadid and her friends were released on Bail.
They were found guilty and were fined $1,000 each and now they are released with no further charges. Hadid’s representative stated that she had legally purchased the Marijuana in NYC with a medical license and that too is legal in Cayman Island for medical usage since 2017. Gigi was travelling with the weed that she legally purchased from New York City with a medical licence. Her records were clear and she enjoyed her remaining time on Island with her friends the representative said.

As soon as Gigi arrived on the Island with her friends on a private plane, the customs officials allegedly found marijuana and some tools used for its consumption in their luggage. After the findings she and her friends were subsequently arrested and taken to prisoner detention centre from there they were released on bail and after two days Gigi nd her friends were pleaded guilty and charged with fine of $1000 each. Gigi has been rumoured dating Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio. The dating rumours of duo were sparked in September 2022 during the fashion week in New York City.
