As #LaalSinghChaddhaBoycott trends on Twitter, Aamir Khan’s 1st reaction here

A lot of netizens are recalling Aamir’s alleged blasphemous acts against Hindu gods and Hinduism in his past movies and appealing others to ignore & boycott the film.

New Delhi: Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Laal Singh Chaddha is gearing up for mega theatrical release on August 11. However, days before the magnum opus hits theatres, a major chorus has broken out on the social media to boycott his upcoming film. A lot of netizens are recalling Aamir’s alleged blasphemous acts against Hindu gods and Hinduism in his past movies and appealing others to ignore & boycott the film.

It may noted that Aamir is returning to the silver screen after 4 long years and the project is close to his heart. The actor in his past conversations had said that the team led by Director Advait Chanan worked assiduously and passionately on the movie.

Ahead of the movie release, Twitter was caught up today by a trend # LaalSinghChaddha. When the veteran actor was quizzed about this trend, he said that he ‘felt hurt’ over the calls of boycott.

“Yes, I feel sad. Also, I feel sad that some of the people who are saying this, in their heart, they believe that I am someone who doesn’t like India. In their hearts they believe, but it is untrue. It is rather unfortunate that some people feel that way. That’s not the case. Please don’t boycott my film. Please watch my film,” said Aamir.
