Bad News Box Office Day 1 Collection Prediction: Vicky Kaushal to see biggest opening of his acting career?

New Delhi: Starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, Bad Newz was released at the Box Office with a bang today. Early Box Office assumptions reveal that the opening day of the movie is set to have a double-digit opening. This romantic- comedy is being compared to the recent releases; Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (TBMAUJ) that gained almost Rs. 80 crores over their lifetime runs.

Media sources also suggest that the film is expected to earn Rs. 10-11 crore on its first day. The publications also estimate that it could rake in a Rs. 30 crore collection by the weekend. Bracketed in the same genre, Crew had an opening weekend of Rs. 32.6 crore and TBMAUJ made Rs. 26.52 crore. It was reported that the film has already sold 51,000 tickets at national cinema chains like PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis. Bad Newz has already collected Rs. 2.67 crore on its pre-release advance ticket sales, which is higher than the new release starring Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan- Sarfira which collected 2.6 crore on its opening day.

Highest opener for Vicky Kaushal?

If Vicky Kaushal is in luck, this could be his biggest opening yet. His last film release; Sam Bahadur opened with Rs. 5.75 crore alongside the blockbuster Animal’s 63.8 crore. His other recent release, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke alongside actress Sara Ali Khan made Rs. 5.49 crores on its opening day with a sale of Rs. 88 crore overall.

Till now, the biggest opening of the film star’s career is Uri (2019) which made Rs. 8.2 crore on its opening day. The film at the end made Rs. 245.36 crore in its lifetime premiere at the domestic box office, making Vicky Kaushal an established film star.

Triptii Dimri labeled ‘national crush’ after her last film- Animal, is now going to be seen in her newest venture after finding fame. Starrer Ammy Virk, who has a huge fan base in Punjab, can help benefit the film’s attention from that side potentially.
