Double Xl Twitter Review: Sonakshi and Huma’s film fails to enthuse moviegoers

A comedy-drama called Double XL addresses topics related to female body image and obesity.

New Delhi: Satram Ramani’s film Double XL, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi, is currently playing in theaters. The horror-comedy flick Phone Bhoot and the survival-thriller film Mili are both released alongside Double XL. On the other hand, Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi’s movie Double XL failed to captivate the audience in the same way as Phone Bhoot and Mili did. What Twitter said about Double XL is seen below.

A comedy-drama called Double XL addresses topics related to female body image and obesity. The film, which addresses a social issue like body weight, has both Sonakshi and Huma in prominent roles. In essence, the film tells the tale of two plus-size women, Rajshree Trivedi from Meerut and Saira Khanna from New Delhi, as they struggle to meet social expectations of beauty.

“#DoubleXL is a terrible execution of a sensible issue, which pivots mostly away from the plain matter of the movie,” a user tweeted. This film’s unfocused screenplay, which in my opinion is a major letdown for the whole production, is why the OTTs initially rejected it.

Double XL is a smack in the face to a culture that still stigmatises plus-size women in the twenty-first century. Famous Notebook authors Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra are joined by these two amazing and courageous women, Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha. Double XL was directed by Satramm Ramani.
