New Delhi: Second richest man of the world and CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk is going to guest host the legendary TV show Saturday Night Live on May 8. Musk announced the same last month on his Twitter account and his fans are loving it. Miley Cyrus will be the musical guest along with Musk as the host.
Elon Musk has already started asking people on Twitter for some ideas for the skits he might perform on the day. Musk’s scheduled May 8 appearance comes after his recent run of success as the price of Tesla’s stock surged nearly six times more than it was before the pandemic started. It has led to Musk having an estimated fortune of $177 billion, according to Forbes magazine. Also, SpaceX just a launched a mission that sent astronauts to the International Space Station.
NBC rarely pick hosts from the tech or business world for SNL. Earlier, it has invited former New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner and former US President Donald Trump, before he was elected as President in 2016.
SNL is an American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show. The show’s comedy sketches usually are presented as a parody or satire on contemporary culture and politics. A celebrity guest hosts each episode of the show, who usually delivers the opening monologue and also performs in sketches with the cast, with featured performances by a musical guest.
One of the longest-running network television programs in the United States, SNL is broadcasted from Studio 8H at NBC’s headquarters in the Comcast Building at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
