Just like people, industries of every sector will try their best to grow. By saying that, the entertainment world is no less behind the other sectors. The Bollywood industry has promised to gift us some breath-taking movies this year and the list seems to be never-ending.
Below is the list of movies that will be released in 2022:
Prithviraj – January 21
Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the movie is all set release on January 21. The movie stars Akshay Kumar in the role of the 11th-century ruler Prithviraj Chauhan. Backed by Yash Raj Films, the movie marks the screen debut of Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2017.

Gangubai Kathiawadi – February 18

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role of Gangubai from Kathiawad. The movie is a biographical crime drama showcasing the life of a simple girl Gangubai who became the most powerful and respected personality from Kamathipura during the 1960s. Reportedly, the movie is inspired by the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai written by S. Hussain Zaidi.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar – February 25

Ranveer Singh is laying the lead role in the movie. He will be seen as a Gujarat man, who becomes an unlikely hero. The movie is a family entertainer and is set in Gujarat. Besides Singh, the movie also stars Arjun Reddy and Shalini Pandey. Divyang Thakkar has directed the movie with Yash Raj Films being the producer.
Shamshera – March 18

Ranbir Kapoor will return to the screen after 3 years since Sanju (2018) with Shamshera. The movie will release on March 18. With the tagline of “adrenaline pumping entertainer”, the movie is directed by Karan Malhotra. The movie features Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 – March 25

One of the most-awaited movies is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan in the main role. This movie is a sequel of 2007 film starring Akshay Kumar in the lead. This movie also stars Kiara Advani beside Kartik.

KGF 2 – April 14
Sanjay Dutt will make an entry in KGF Chapter 2. He will be playing the role of a villain named Adheera. The movie will be released in multiple languages including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The film has been produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films will also feature Srini.
Runaway 34 – April 29

Reportedly, Ajay Devgn and Rakulpreet Singh will play the role of pilots. However, Amitabh Bachchan’s role is still unclear. Notably, this is Ajay Devgn’s third directorial while the first two being – Shivaay and U Me Aur Hum. This is the first time Amitabh Bachchan will be working in Devgn’s directorial. Earlier the movie was titled Mayday.
Laal Singh Chaddha – April 14

Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan will make a box office clash with Prabhas’s Adipurush. The movie is inspired by Ramayan. The movie stars Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. The movie is directed by Om Raut.
Brahmastra – September 9
