New Delhi: Sharmila Tagore, a veteran actress, is poised to make her debut appearance in the web series ‘Gulmohar,’ alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Amol Palekar. The much-anticipated multi-generational family drama trailer was recently released.
“My Batra family welcomes you with your family,” Manoj Bajpayee stated on the internet after sharing the teaser. “#GulmoharOnHotstar will begin streaming on March 3rd”, he added.

The trailer shows the Batra family, their family dysfunction, and everything in between. It’s a lovely and capturing story for any and all ages, directed by Rahul V.Chittella. Gulmohar will feature the comeback of the shining and elegant Sharmila Tagore to film after a 12-year absence, in addition to acting heavy hitters Simran and Suraj Sharma.
Before releasing the trailer, the creators released a promotional video in which Manoj Bajpayee asks Sharmila Tagore how she feels about her coming back to the big screen. “I’m feeling a little nervous,” she responds. Manoj reassures her that her fandom is long-lived and rising. She is unrivaled.

After that, Sharmila modestly remarked, “I have played the role of your mother in this movie, so I also have some knowledge about acting.” Soon after, Manoj pops out laughing at her thoughtful reply.
Gulmohar is a creation of Star Studios in collaboration with Chalkboard Entertainment and Autonomous Works. Siddhartha Khosla comprised entirely the film’s original composition. Rahul Chittella directed the film, which was written by Rahul Chittella and Arpita Mukherjee. The film is scheduled to be available to watch on Disney+ Hotstar beginning March 3.
