Jurassic World: Dominion trailer: Packed with dino action and nostalgia; Marks return of original Jurassic Park trio

The film, from the Universal and directed by Colin Trevorrow, brings the return of the original Jurassic Park trio – Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern.

New Delhi: The first trailer of the must-anticipated film Jurassic World: Dominion has been released on Friday. The trailer has successfully portrayed dino action and nostalgia and seemed to be nerve-racking from the beginning till the end. The film, from the Universal and directed by Colin Trevorrow, brings the return of the original Jurassic Park trio – Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern. This movie is the third film in the ‘Jurassic World’ franchise that originated in 215.

The three-minute-long trailer shows dinosaurs wandering in different climates, running across the snow-laden places as well as swimming in the oceans. They are also seen to be co-habiting with humans. “Human and dinosaurs can’t coexist. We created an ecological disaster,” Laura Dern said in the trailer, a keen observation that should have been apparent five movies ago. “We not only lack dominion over nature, we’re subordinate to,” said Goldblum.

The movie also stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Callas Howard. In November 2021, Jurassic World: Dominion premiered with a prologue that showed a new, alarming landscape. The movie also talks about a massive T-rex causing havoc in a drive-in theatre.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Collin Trevorrow said, “It is a true ensemble of all of these people, even if they may not be side by side the whole time. There is just something really exhilarating, just from a generational standpoint, to be able to put all of these characters into a situation where they are again having to not just survive together, but make sure that we all don’t go extinct just like the dinosaurs.”

The film is co-written by Emily Carmichael and Colin Trevorrow. Besides, in November, the makers released the first five minutes of the film which showed how one mosquito’s actions million years ago led to dinosaurs’ resurrection in the modern-day. ‘Dominion’ deals with the fallout from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), which showed the destruction of dinosaurs’ home, Isla Nublar, and dinosaurs escaping into the modern world.

Jurassic World: Dominion is set to release in June 2022.
