New Delhi: Following its forgettable theatrical run, P.V. Shankar’s directorial rural thriller Kalvan is landing on OTT this month.
Boasting G.V Prakash Kumar & Ivana in lead roles, the film, which was released in cinemas on April 4th, is arriving to hit Disney +Hotstar, where it will stream in multiple languages from May 14, 2024.

Disney +Hotstar, through an official social media post shared on Thursday, confirmed that Kalvan will become available for watching on the platform on May 14th, 2024.
Sharing a date reveal poster of the Bharathiraja starrer, the digital giant took to its Instagram handle & wrote, “Santhikka thayaar aagunga! Kalvan streaming From May 14th On Disney Plus Hotstar.”

With this announcement, fans who missed the chance to see Kalvan on big screens are now excited to enjoy the movie on OTT sitting comfortably in their homes.

Set in the Sathyamanglam forest region, Kalvan tells the tale of two orphans Kemban (Played by GV Prakash Kumar) and Suri (Played by Deena) who make ends my by committing petty thefts.
However, after Kemban falls for a beautiful girl Balamani (Played by Ivana), he gives up on stealing and eyes on a government job to earn a decent living.
Amid this, a dangerous Elephant starts wreaking havoc in the area the local government announces a heavy reward plus a decent job in the forest for anyone who successfully catches the animal.
Driven by the urge to change their lives and win the reward, both Kemban and Suri, along with their two other friends, decide to go to the forest and capture the dangerous elephant. What happens next & how they succeed in their mission is the remaining story of the film.
