Liberals call Lata Mangeshkar ‘Sanghi’; celebrates her death

While India is mourning the demise of the legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar, section of liberals are celebrating her death and calling her a ‘Sanghi.’

‘The Nightingale of India,’ Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last on Sunday at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. The legendary singer was 92 years and succumbed to death due to Covid-19 complications. Reportedly, she was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. Lately, she was suffering from pneumonia and had a multi-organ failure.

The demise of the singer came as a shock to the nation as well as abroad. People from all fraternities are collectively mourning the major loss, India has suffered. The Bharat Ratna awardee gave voice to over 25,000 songs and in 36 languages apart from Hindi and Urdu.

However, a section of liberals has taken this opportunity to criticize and abuse the national icon and celebrate the death. The accused have taken to social media to put a bad label on the reputation of the singer. What made her face all these was her association with Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.

While India is mourning her death, liberals without showing any sympathy or respect is calling her ‘Sanghi.’ Lata Mangeshkar’s association with the nationalist icons and RSS became a rallying point for the left-liberals, who choose this time as the best to accuse the deceased.

Manveer Singh, a liberal social media user took to Twitter stating that before posting ‘RIP Lata Mangeshkar,’ one should note that she was a supporter of RSS, which according to him, is a fascist hate group that got inspired by Nazism.

Such bitter instance was also experienced, when Shivangi, a left-liberal columnist writing for news portals like FirstPost and Newsclick, claimed that Lata Mangeshkar all her life was a Sanghi and that her voice was equivalent to a pressure cooker whistle.
