More

A social media group called India Love Project influenced Love Storiyaan. Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman—all of whom are former journalists—founded the community that is used as a source. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra (who came up with the idea) are all serving as executive producers for the documentary series.

The Instagram page of the India Love Project relates true accounts of love romances when the bride and groom are of different sexes, races, or faiths but ultimately end up wedded. In 2020, the India Love Project was launched by Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman, three journalists. The jewellery firm Tanishq was the target of online hate words after an ad featuring a marriage between two individuals of different faiths prompted them to take this action. The goal of the India Love Project is to demonstrate that love can blossom amongst people of many backgrounds and characteristics.
