New Delhi: Vishal and S. J. Suryah’s highly anticipated movie Mark Anthony has finally arrived at the cinemas today. While its chances of receiving a record-breaking opening like Jawan or Jailer is next to impossible, the action thriller has still got everything it takes for a masala movie to succeed financially at the Box Office.
Mark Anthony’s Challenging Box Office Journey
Only If Vijay Starrer manages to pull the moviegoers towards theaters and get an immense positive word of mouth from the masses, it can prove every prediction wrong and mint some handsome amount of money at the box office. However, considering the movies’ release in such a busy period when recently released heavyweights like SRK’s Jawan and Thalavia’s Jailer are already keeping the theaters packed and enjoying historical reception from the fans, it won’t be an easy task for Mark Anthony to establish Itself and fare well in the theaters.
Moreover, trade experts are further claiming that the public has already spent enough on watching the previously released blockbusters (Jailer, Gadar 2, Jawan) and will be thinking twice before spending money on the new releases. Expert’s words make it pretty clear that Mark Anthony is going to have a challenging box-office Journey ahead. Will the film embrace the challenges and emerge as a commercial blockbuster or will fall flat at the BO is something only time will tell.
Mark Anthony OTT Release
Following the end of its theatrical run, Mark Anthony is expected to make its OTT debut on the digital platform Amazon Prime which has reportedly acquired its digital rights much prior to its release on the Big Screens. The movie is likely to arrive on the said digital platform after five weeks of its theatrical run (On or around 27 October 2023.)

Helmed by Talented director Adhik Ravichandran, Mark Anthony is the story of a son of an ex-gangster (Mark), who finds a mystical time-traveling phone and decides to use it to alternate the past and save his beloved mother from her horrible fate. However, he must use the divine device carefully as tempering the past can lead to a number of unforeseen consequences and put his own family’s legacy at stake.
Besides Vishal as the lead actor, the Sci-Fi action drama also features J Suneel, Abhinaya, Selvaraghavan, Ritu, Kingsley, and Y.G. Mahendran in pivotal roles. It is made on a medium budget of ₹35 under the Banner of Mini Studios and produced by S. Vinod Kumar.
