New Delhi: Hollywood’s top favourite Marvel Studios are back in action announcing the release of their next two movies in the blockbuster Avengers series. Sources say that Marvel is in talks with filmmaker-director duo, the Russo Brothers- Joe and Anthony Russo for the direction of these films.
According to the sources quoted by the publications, the Russo Brothers are likely to return to the franchise to direct and oversee the next two Avengers movies- Avengers 5 and 6, a position which earlier was also offered to the director of known films Deadpool and Wolverine; Shawn Levy.
About the movie
Publications revealed Avengers 5 is to be named- ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ starring Jonathan Majors as villain Kang, but after the actor’s case conviction of assault and harassment in December, sources told the film will now get a new name and protagonist. The sixth Avenger film is to be named ‘Secret Wars’. The movies’ supposed release dates are May 1, 2026, and May 7, 2027, in order.
The Russo Brothers
Famous duo Russo Brothers have previously directed four of the biggest Marvel movies; Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). Each of which has been a massive hit at the box office. The young Avengers fan base has given the movies so much credit and attention in cinemas and even during their premiere on OTT platforms.
They had a blockbuster run in the past decade, with their streaming reaching the top level under their direction in titles like Cherry, The Gray Man, and their upcoming Netflix title, The Electric State. They have also produced projects like the globally popular series starring Priyanka Chopra, the Academy Award winner- Everything Everywhere All at Once, and the Extraction franchise starring Chris Hemsworth.
With the huge fan following that Avengers as well as Marvel Studios has, the audience will be waiting impatiently and eagerly to get more information about the films.
