Netflix’s “Hierarchy”: Is It Worth Watching? All about Lee Chae Min and Roh Jeong Eui’s Romantic-Drama…

Netflix’s latest Korean drama series, “Hierarchy,” premiered on June 7, aiming to capitalize on the success of shows like “Elite.

New Delhi: “Hierarchy,” the newest Korean drama on Netflix, gained a lot of interest since its June 7 premiere. Though it’s impossible to avoid comparisons to the Spanish television series “Elite,” “Hierarchy” tries to establish itself in the competitive, class-conscious high school drama genre. However, early reviews suggest that it falls short of expectations.

“Hierarchy” takes place at the esteemed Jooshin High School, where the upper class rules supremely. The narrative begins with the entrance of Kang Ha, a scholarship student who breaks the status order and is portrayed by Lee Chae Min. Tensions between the wealthy students and their less wealthy classmates rise as secrets are brought to light.

“Hierarchy” received mixed reviews in spite of great expectations. Critics have pointed out that it relies too heavily on well-known elements that are similar of “Elite,” such as power battles, controversial romances, and class differences. Many argue that “Hierarchy” falls short of offering fresh perspectives on these subjects, leading to a plot that is a little predictable and cliché.

With a strong script by Chu Hye Mi and direction by Bae Hyeong Jin, “Hierarchy” has excellent production values. But with poor narration and sudden cuts that draw attention from the viewing experience, the script and direction leave much to be desired. While some enjoy the glossy production, others feel let down by the lack of depth.

Despite these criticisms, “Hierarchy” is expected to draw a sizable audience, thanks in part to its visually appealing presentation and the popularity of similar shows.

With a lukewarm reception from critics and viewers alike, the future of “Hierarchy” remains uncertain. As the series continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether it can overcome its shortcomings and deliver a satisfying conclusion.
