New Delhi: The much anticipated Engagement Ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant would be held today in Ambani’s Mumbai residence Antila.
For their Chhoti Bahu Radhika, Ambanis have organized an extravaganza “Gol Dhana” ceremony.
Gol Dhana is a Gujarati tradition performed during the ‘Sagai’ ceremony using jaggery and coriander seeds. The tradition is performed at the groom’s place where jaggery and coriander seeds are distributed among guests while the bride’s side exchanges gifts and sweets.
Afterward, the about-to-be-married couple put rings on each other’s fingers. Then they are required to seek blessings from five married women.
Radhika Merchant’s Gol Dhana ceremony would begin today at 7 PM at Antilla, Altamount Road.
Earlier Ambanis threw a star-studded pre-engagement party on 30th December, a few days after Anant and Radhika celebrated their Roka ceremony at Shrinathji Temple in Rajasthan.
For dress codes, guests are advised to wear Indian traditions.
The pre-wedding rituals for Radhika and Anant kicked off on Tuesday, starting with the Mehendi ceremony.
Bride-to-be Radhika Merchant looked exquisite in a fuchsia Lehenga designed by Abo Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Her traditional pink get-up is making rounds on social media for its simplicity.
During her pre-wedding festivity, Radhika Merchant performed a dance on “Ghar Moore pardesia.” The video of her dance is getting lauded by netizens as well.

Radhika Merchant is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of Encore Health. Anant Ambani and Radhika know each other for a long time and are childhood friends.
From time to time, rumors of romance have sparked for the two but it wasn’t until 2018 that the duo confirmed their relationship.
Radhika Merchant has been close to Ambanis as she was spotted at many big family events including Isha Ambani’s wedding.
