Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot in a traditional Meitei style; share official wedding pics

Following cultural norms, Randeep opted not to accessorise with jewels, drawing attention to the modest beauty of his clothing.

New Delhi: In a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony that took place in Imphal on Wednesday, actors Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot.

Surrounded by his family and relatives, Randeep, clad in white, looked like a stunning Manipuri groom. However, in a different clip from the event, Lin is seen dressed as a bride in traditional Manipuri attire.

Randeep accessorised his typical white kurta and dhoti with a koyet, a kind of headgear made of yellow fabric. A simple white shawl elegantly embraced him. Following cultural norms, Randeep opted not to accessorise with jewels, drawing attention to the modest beauty of his clothing.

Wearing the traditional Manipuri bridal costume, Lin Laishram represents the Rasleela dance, at her wedding. The cylindrical, religiously significant, and elaborately hand-embroidered Potloi was the focal point of her attire. Bedecked with ornaments and elaborate laces, the Potloi is a sturdy cylindrical skirt made of bamboo and durable cloth, which is a traditional garment for Meitei brides. Her wedding attire was completed with a veil of transparent white tulle.

She wore a long necklace known as Likhom and two crucial sets in keeping with tradition. On top of her head, she wore the traditional Meitei headpiece crown—the Kajenglei—and the exquisitely decorated Maatha Patti. Huge, beautiful gold jewels adorned her wedding dress.

Both Randeep and Lin wore the traditional white Chandan tilaks.

Near a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony, Randeep and Lin exchanged vows at the Chumthang Shannapung resort in Imphal.

Fans were enchanted by the couple’s unearthly appearance and delicate elegance as they revealed stunning photos from their wedding day.

Sharing the wedding pictures on Instagram Randeep captioned it as, “From today, we are One ♥️♾️
