Ranveer Singh wins a special honour at Red Sea Film Festival; Sharon Stone praises him as an “all-rounder”

New Delhi: On Thursday, the third edition of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Festival began with the world premiere of “HWJN”— a fantasy film by Iraqi director Yasir Al-Yasiri —and a glamorous red carpet that included Will Smith, Sharon Stone, Baz Luhrmann, Ranveer Singh, and numerous Arabic celebrities.

At the Red Sea International Film Festival, Sharon Stone presented an award to Ranveer Singh. Johnny Depp was one among several famous people who showed up to the Jeddah event. Ranveer posted a photo of himself with Johnny, claiming the Pirates of the Caribbean star as his inspiration.

Ranveer wore all black to the occasion. His attire consisted of a shiny black jacket, matching pants, and a black shirt.

Sharon Stone went onstage to present Ranveer with the honour, and she said, “I have had the exciting pleasure of meeting Ranveer Singh before. What a great guy! He is truly an all-rounder creative genius. It gives me genuine great pleasure to welcome him to the stage to receive yet another prestigious award.”

After receiving the award, Ranveer thanked his supporters for being there for him when times became tough. At the same time, Johnny Depp was present at the event, and Ranveer proudly displayed his prize while taking a selfie with him. Additionally, he went on to say that Johnny Depp has been an inspiration to him for his versatility.

“Thank you for everything that you’ve unknowingly taught me about the craft sir.  Master of transformation and versatility something that I am inspired by you,” Ranveer Singh said about Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp and Ranveer Singh were also seen posing for a photo together at the Film Festival.

Red Sea Film Festival 2023

November 30 marked the beginning of the Red Sea Film Festival’s third edition. The first film was HWJN, a fantasy film by Iraqi filmmaker Yasir Al-Yasiri. Up until December 9, the festival will go on. The event will include appearances by several well-known celebrities from throughout the world.

The opening ceremony, which took place in the auditorium of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah, underlined the theme of “Your story, your festival” for this year’s event.
