‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ OTT Release: Know when & where to watch Nambi Narayanan’s biopic

The film hit the cinemas on June 1 and will release on OTT on July 26.

New Delhi: After immense appreciation from the audience and film critics, ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ is set to release on the OTT platform. The film is helmed by R. Madhavan, who also plays the protagonist in the film. The film is based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan.

The film hit the cinemas on June 1 and will release on OTT on July 26. The plot follows the life of ISRO Scientist Nambi Narayanan who was framed for being a spy and arrested in 1994. Though free, he is still fighting for justice. In the film, Madhavan can be seen along with Simran who plays Meena Narayanan. The film also features Gulshan Grover as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and Rajit Kapoor as Dr Vikram Sarabhai.

The film grossed around Rs 37 crore worldwide, while it was made reportedly on a budget of Rs 60 crore. Though the numbers show a different picture, the movie received a positive response from its viewers. The film was also released at the 75th Cannes Film Festival on May 19.

The film will stream from July 26 onwards on Amazon Prime Video. ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ will stream in four South Indian languages, namely, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

The music in the film is composed by Sam C.S., who is known for his work in ‘Kaithi’ and ‘Vikram Vedha’. The cinematography for the film is done by Sirsha Ray, who has worked in popular and critically acclaimed films like ‘A Death in a Gunj’, ‘C/O Sir’ and recently released ‘Shabhaash Mithu’. Apart from direction and acting, R. Madhvan also has writing credits to his name, and he is also one of the producers of the project.
