RRR Box Office Collection: RRR’s Hindi version strengthens over weekend, earns ₹74.5 cr

Also rocking the worldwide collections, the magnum opus is reviving Indian cinema’s status in the post-pandemic era

New Delhi: SS Rajamouli’s recent directorial set out ‘RRR’ is making and breaking box office records with each day passing. Though the weekend has served expectedly virtuous for Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer period drama.

The Hindi version of the highly awaited film, which had begun with a collection of ₹257 crores initially, has earned over Rs31.50 crores on the domestic box office on Sunday.

RRR’s total domestic collection for the Hindi version on its first weekend sums up to ₹74.50 crore, only a slight beneath than post-pandemic release of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’.

Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the Hindi version’s office collection on his Twitter account.

For the unversed, the movie is set in pre-independence India and is inspired by the lives of celebrated freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem.

The film also features Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles.
