Rs 500 crore in 5 days? ‘Pathaan’ becomes fastest to Rs 250 crore at domestic box office, check worldwide collection

The film got a grand opening with a Rs 57 crore Nett collection on day 1 in India and as per the estimates, it crossed the Rs 60 crore Nett mark on day 5.

New Delhi: The Sunday magic worked well for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ as it earned Rs 60 crore at the Indian box office. YRF’s spy-thriller is smashing all the records and has collected Rs 282 crore at the domestic box office. As per the estimates, the film should have crossed the Rs 500 mark in its worldwide collection, however, the updated collection details are awaited.

Collection in India

The film got a grand opening with a Rs 57 crore Nett collection on day 1 in India and as per the estimates, it crossed the Rs 60 crore Nett mark on day 5. Reportedly, Rs 30 crore came out of the advance bookings for Sunday.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film earned somewhere between Rs 60-62 crore on day 5. It also left behind ‘KGF 2’ (Hindi), ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ (Hindi) and ‘Dangal’ to become the fastest to Rs 250 crore at the domestic box office.

Worldwide collection

As per the Entertainment Industry Tracker Ramesh Bala, ‘Pathaan’ might have reached the Rs 550 crore mark in five days. According to reports, the worldwide collection is above Rs 500 crore while the updated numbers are awaited.

About ‘Pathaan’

Directed by Siddhartha Anand, the film features Shah Rukh Khan as an Indian spy, Deepika Padukone as an ISI agent and John Abraham as the antagonist Jim. ‘Pathaan’ also stars Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in major roles and has a special appearance by Salman Khan as Tiger.

The film was released in the theatres on January 25. ‘Pathaan’, marking SRK’s comeback after ‘Zero’, was released on 5000+ screens in India and 2500 outside India.
