New Delhi: The highly anticipated Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal starrer Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has opened fairly well at the box office, captivating audiences with its fresh and innovative storytelling. Directed by renowned filmmaker Laxman Utekar, the family entertainer is looking to cross the 20 crores mark by the 1st weekend.
The romantic comedy has been successful so far in attracting footfalls in huge numbers. After garnering a collection of Rs 5.49 crore on its day 1, the film closed at Rs 7.20 crore on Saturday. With a rising trend in its earning, the Sara-Vicky starrer now stands at a total of Rs. 12.69 crores.
In order to increase ticket sales, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke opted for a Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer. The ticket price is also set at a much lower range than its competitors at the box office.
Despite featuring Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal as leads, the film was made with a relatively lower budget. This just accentuates the core message of the film which revolves around the frugality of middle-class people.
In the romantic comedy, Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal play an Indore-based middle-class couple who are much eager to buy their own house.
However, due to money problems, the love birds opt for the unusual way and get divorced so that they can become beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna.
Although, things do not go as planned for the waiting-to-be-divorced couple, which serves as the baseline for the film’s story to take off from.
