Shark Tank India 2: What was ‘Sugar’ pitch that got a dream deal of Rs 5 crore

While presenting their business pitch, they also shared their journey of launching the brand & how they shaped it. Vineeta also revealed that she couldn’t fetch any new investment after 2013 and sought Rs 1 crore for 2% equity investment.

New Delhi: Shark Tank India Season 2, the reality TV show on business ideas, has entered its final week. While the 2nd edition of Shark Tank heads towards culmination, an interesting pitch was made on the show.

Vineeta Singh, one of the sharks on panel, along with her husband Kaushik Mukherjee turned pitchers on the show. They presented their business idea to the Sharks and also managed to get a dream deal of Rs 5 crore from all the Sharks.

Other 5 sharks in the show are Amit Jain, Peyush Bansal, Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal.
Another interesting pitch of the show was a product pitch by actress Parul Gulati.

March 10 episode: HIGHLIGHTS

The business pitch by Shark Vineeta Singh was about their cosmetic brand – Sugar. Vineeta along with her husband Kaushik Mukherjee gave a presentation on their new but highly popular brand and also explained how they plan to take it to the masses.

While presenting their business pitch, they also shared their journey of launching the brand & how they shaped it. Vineeta also revealed that she couldn’t fetch any new investment after 2013 and sought Rs 1 crore for 2% equity investment.

Another Shark Anupam praised the duo for keeping the company profitable & benefitting the investors by their hard work.

The business pitch by Vineeta also drew some lighter moments in the show.

One shark Peyush jokingly said, “Don’t expect any mercy.”

Prior to Vineeta, a well-known actress Parul Gulati also made appearance on the show. Coming prepared with her pitcher, she explained to Sharks about her business idea of hair extensions.

She told the judges that in her free time, she focuses on hair extensions business and wants to grow it for ‘common good’. The idea didn’t evince much interest in the Sharks but Shark Amit was impressed. He committed Rs 1 crore for 2% equity while Vineeta & Aman jointly offered Rs 1 crore for 3% equity.
