‘Silly thought process’ Arjun Kapoor reacts to trollers for commenting on his age-gap with gf Malaika

New Delhi: ‘Pyaar kiya toh darna kya’ is the mantra that suits Arjun Kapoor’s love life. His relationship with Malaika Arora has been the talk of the town for several years now and it is merely because of their age gap. Reportedly, Arjun Kapoor is 36 years old while Malaika Arora is 48 years. However, Arjun Kapoor called it a “silly thought process” to “contextualise a relationship” on the basis of age.

During an interview with Masala.com, the actor stated, “Firstly, I think that the media is the one who goes through the comments from people. We don’t even look at 90 percent of it so the trolling cannot be given so much importance, because it’s all fake. Those same people will be dying to take a selfie with me when they meet me, so you cannot believe that narrative.”

He further added, “What I do in my personal life is my prerogative. As long as my work is being recognised, the rest is all just a lot of noise. Plus, you can’t be so bothered about whose age is what, so we should just live, let live and move on. I think it’s a silly thought process to look at age and contextualise a relationship.”

Malaika Arora was unable to enjoy New Year with Arjun Kapoor as he was tested Covid-19 positive and self-quarantined himself at home. Sharing an adorable picture, Malaika wrote, “I miss you mr pouty @arjunkapoor ( ps. My pout is better than urs ) … happy new year ❤”

Apart from Arjun Kapoor, his sister Anshula Kapoor and cousin Rhea Kapoor and her husband Karan Boolani have been tested positive for Covid-19. This became affected after Anshula’s birthday. Taking to Instagram Rhea confirmed the same and stated that she and her husband were, “isolating and taking all prescribed medications and precautions.”
