SRK’s Pathaan continues minting money, earns more than Rs 700 crore in 9 days, globally

The Shah Rukh starrer movie has been raking in the moolah and ruling the Box Office, like no other. Powered by an overwhelming response & outpouring of fans, the movie has already earned Rs 700 crores in just 9 days.

New Delhi: The makers of Pathaan are on cloud nine. The reason behind – Pathaan smashing all Box Office records and sprinting towards Rs 1,000 club in less than two weeks of its release.

The Shah Rukh starrer movie has been raking in the moolah and ruling the Box Office, like no other. Powered by an overwhelming response & outpouring of fans, the movie has already earned Rs 700 crores in just 9 days.

The movie on its 9 day of release, earned a whopping Rs 15.65 crore, a figure which many movie with big starcast don’t fetch on Day 1. The movie is going strong and is witnessing big turnout in regional languages as well as global markets.

Domestically, the Yash Raj banner films has earned more than Rs 350 crore so far and is only likely to muster more in coming days. It could well become the only Bollywood movie entering Rs 400 club in domestic earnings.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also wrote, “#Pathaan… Sets NEW BENCHMARKS in its *extended* Week 1… Weekend 2 will be equally POWER-PACKED… Wed 55 cr, Thu 68 cr, Fri 38 cr, Sat 51.50 cr, Sun 58.50 cr, Mon 25.50 cr, Tue 22 cr, Wed 17.50 cr, Thu 15 cr. Total: ₹ 351 cr. #Hindi. #India biz.”

In global markets, the film has garnered more than Rs 259 crore in earnings.

The film release on January 25 and has been on a dream run since then. The movie not marked Bollywood’s king comeback but also reinforced his King Khan status once again. The film also stars Deepika Padukone & John Abraham in the lead roles, with direction by Siddharth Annad.

Another notable fact is the film turning out one of the biggest grosser of all times, despite boycott calls by right-wing groups. Infuriated over insult to saffron colour in one of the songs, the brigade wanted Pathaan makers to removed the disputed scene from the movie.
