New Delhi: Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma fame Munmun Dutta has got into trouble after she made objectionable remarks related to the Scheduled Castes.
In a video, Munmun Dutta can br heard talking about her make-up, says “Lip tint ko halka sa blush ki tarah laga liya hai because main YouTube pe aane wali hoon aur main achha dikhn chahti hoon. Bh***i ki tarah nahi dikhna chahti hoon.”
Over this statement, Rajat Kalsan convenor of the National Alliance for Dalit Human Rights has registered a complaint in the case

After making caste remarks in a video, the Valmiki community in Agra has given a complaint to the SSP for registering an FIR against her. On the other hand, people are also demanding her arrest on social media. Although the actress apologized via social media on Tuesday, but people are still expressing anger.
In her apology, Munmun Dutta writes, “This is in reference to a video that I posted yesterday where in one word used by me has been misinterpreted. It was never said with the intent of insult, intimidate, humiliate or hurt anyone’s feelings. Because of my language barrier, I was genuinely misinformed about the meaning of the word. Once I was made aware of its meaning, I immediately took the part down. I have utmost respect for every single person from every caste, creed or gender and acknowledge their immense contribution to our society or nation. I sincerely would like to apologise to every single person who have been an unintentionally hurt by the usage of the word and I sincerely regret for the same.”
