At the end of its second day of release, the movie grossed 59 crores rupees at the box office in India. This brought the film’s total collection to 103.5 crore rupees in only two days.

New Delhi: After just two days in theatres, the action movie Tiger 3, starring Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, has already broken the Rs 100 crore barrier.

The only Hindi film to premiere on Diwali (November 12) in the last decade was Tiger 3, starring Salman and Katrina. Both Salman and Katrina appear in the film once again playing the characters of the spy Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger and Zoya.

At the end of its second day of release, the movie grossed 59 crores rupees at the box office in India. This brought the film’s total collection to 103.5 crore rupees in only two days.

To discuss in detail, according to a report by Sacnilk, the film’s run came to an end on Monday with total earnings of Rs. 59 crores. On Sunday, it had accumulated a total of 44.5 crores. This brings its total earnings for the first two days to 103.5 crores.

The numbers for the second day are even greater than the collections for the second day of Jawan, which is the greatest hit of the year so far. Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, was launched on Thursday, September 7, and generated Rs 75 crore on its first day of release. Meanwhile, on day 2 it generated 53.23 crores of rupees.

Day 2 of the release of Tiger 3 brought in a total of Rs 55 crore from international box offices. According to Sacnilk, the overall day 2 numbers have now reached a total of Rs 179.05 crore throughout the globe.

Industry tracker Sacnilk reported that the Hindi language screenings of Tiger 3 had an overall occupancy rate of 48.62 per cent on Monday. The evening shows had the greatest occupancy rate, with 62.53 per cent.

When Tiger 3 was released, it broke not one but two records: it was Salman Khan’s most successful opening, and it also broke a record for how much money was made during Diwali. The films Tiger 3, Bharat, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai now round up Salman Khan’s top five opening weekends at the box office.

About the Film – Tiger 3

Based on the previous films Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger 3 is the third instalment in the studio’s grandiose espionage universe.

Salman plays the lead spy, who is in a race against the clock to rescue his loved ones and his nation in Tiger 3. The YRF Spy Universe now has five films. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprise their roles as Avinash and Zoya, respectively, from the first film. The film was directed by Maneesh Sharma, and it was produced by YRF, which is run by Aditya Chopra. The film reportedly has cameos from both Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan.
