Tiku Weds Sheru Review: Nawazuddin Siddiqi’s Flawless Acting Fails to Save Kangna’s Slow Moving Rom-Com

The story of the movie revolves around the life of a wicked Junior artist Sheru, who is often compelled to go around the city and do small works at movie sets just to make ends meet in the unforgiving city of Mumbai

New Delhi: Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s much-anticipated offering Tiku Weds Sheru finally premiered on Amazon Prime today. The movie was initially titled divine lovers and was supposed to feature late actor Irrfan Khan alongside Kangna Ranaut.

However, it kept on getting postponed for various reasons until it was finally dropped today with Avneet Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the leads with Kangna being a first-time Producer.

Plot

The story of the movie revolves around the life of a wicked Junior artist Sheru, who is often compelled to go around the city and do small work at movie sets just to make ends meet in the unforgiving city of Mumbai. What happens next? Watch on Amazon Prime and find out now!

Acting

The English-speaking Nawazuddin is definitely a treat to the eyes. His acting in the movie reinforces the fact that he is undoubtedly one of the finest actors in the Bollywood industry.

The actor looks effortless in the character of Sheru as he impresses the masses with his amazing acting like he always does.

Talking about newbie actress Avneet Kaur, her smooth, fluid acting combined with her chemistry with Nawazuddin Siddqi was definitely better than anyone expected from a newcomer. However, it also becomes clear that she still has a long way to go.

Verdict

Except for some sweet dialogues combined with the impressive acting and on-screen chemistry between veteran actor Navazuddin and newcomer Avneet, the movie does not have much to offer to the audience.

Due to its slow-moving pace and poor storyline, Tiku Weds Sheru simply fails to grasp the viewers. Additionally, seeing Nawaz in the footsteps of Bollywood’s hopeless romantic lover boy is something that many can find awkward as the skilled actor is not best known for such roles.

With that being said, if you have not much going on this weekend then adding the Move to your watchlist is definitely something you won’t regret doing.
