5 Supreme Court judges who gave 2019 Ayodhya verdict invited for Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratistha

It was this 2019 judgement that paved the way for construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya and also the realization of ‘500 year old dream of ram bhakts’.

New Delhi: With just two days left for Pran Pratistha ceremony of Ayodhya’s grand Ram Temple, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been on an invite-sending spree for the grand event, due on January 22.

Today, an invitation for attending the consecration ceremony was extended to five Supreme Court judges of the Constitution Bench, who delivered the historic verdict in Ram Janmabhoomi case four years ago. All the five judges have been invited as state guests for the proposed Ram Mandir consecration ceremony.

It may be noted that five-judge bench of the Supreme Court, comprising then justices CJI Ranjan Gogoi, former CJI SA Bobde, incumbent CJI DY Chandrachud and former judges Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer, in a historic 2019 judgement, had ruled in favour of the construction of Ram Temple at the disputed site.

Moreover, the Temple Trust has also sent invite to over 50 jurists and sought their presence at the consecration ceremony. They include judges & top lawyers. Former Attorney General KK Venugopal is among of them to get an invite.

Ram Temple invite to over 7,000 esteemed guests

It may be noted that Ram Temple Trust has been handing over invites to many high-profile citizens, pertaining to all professions. From businessmen to industrialists to sportspersons to film celebrities, all have been urged to witness the moment when Lord Ram gets his final abode inside the grand complex.

Today is the fourth day of seven-day long Pran Pratistha ceremony and will culminate on January 22. Lot of sacred rituals are underway in the temple amidst chanting of prayers. Aranimanthan was done in morning and as the day progresses, Kunda Puja, Aushadhadhivas, Kesaradhivas, Ghritadhivas will also be performed.
