After arrest, Pappu Yadav’s health deteriorates, shifted to Darbhanga Medical College

Pappu Yadav was shifted to DMCH after a team of doctors examined his health following the direction of Madhepura court and found he should be treated at a hospital where CT scan and MRI facilities are available, Supaul DM Mahendra Kumar said.

New Delhi: Two days after his arrest in Patna over ruckus in PMCH, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav has been shifted to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) from the prison ward of Birpur jail in Supual.

The former Madhepura MP and president of Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) is reported to have fallen ill in the prison and it was subsequently decided to shift him to a hospital with adequate medical facilities.

Professor Sudhir Kumar, an Associate Professor of Magadh University today tweeted about sudden fall in health parameters of JAP president.

Controversial former MP Pappu Yadav was on Tuesday rounded up by police and case for alleged violation of coronavirus lockdown was also registered against him. He reportedly got into a spat with a BJP parliamentarian in Bihar. Yadav is said to have created a ruckus at the nearby Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH).

Yadav was arrested in Patna in connection with a 32-year-old kidnapping case following an order from a Madhepura court. The case relates to alleged abduction of Rajkumar Yadav and Umakant Yadav on January 29, 1989.
