After hospital runs out of oxygen, Delhi Police steps in to save life of 250 Covid-19 patients (VIDEO)

According to Police, around 11.30 pm, Medical Superintendent at Balaji Hospital in Paschim Vihar informed the police that hospital had critical level of oxygen in their Liquid Gas Tank and the lives of over 235 Covid patient were at risk.

New Delhi: Amid the exponential rise of Corona cases in national capital, Delhi is witnessing shortage of oxygen. A hospital in Paschim Vihar region almost ‘exhausted’ its oxygen. It’s then the Delhi Police stepped in and facilitated fast transport of oxygen tanker.

According to Police, around 11.30 pm, Medical Superintendent at Balaji Hospital in Paschim Vihar informed the police that hospital had critical level of oxygen in their Liquid Gas Tank and the lives of over 235 Covid patient were at risk.

The hospital also informed that 2 tankers, one carrying 14,000 litres of oxygen and the other, 5,500 litres, were stuck in Noida and Faridabad due to the night curfew in Delhi.

The Delhi Police organised a Green Corridor to clear the way for both oxygen tankers heading to Balaji hospital that had almost run out of oxygen.


“Emergency Response Vehicle was sent to Pari Chowk and Badarpur border with instructions to facilitate fast arrival of oxygen-carrying vehicles by creating green corridor on road,” police official said.

A leading portal reported, Delhi Police also arranged oxygen tankers to other hospital, running short of oxygen levels.

10 oxygen cylinders were sent to Saroj Hospital, 15 to Agrasen Hospital, five to ILBS Vasant Kunj and 10 to Fortis hospital as the capital grapples with acute shortage of oxygen.
