After visiting Aurangzeb tomb, Akbaruddin goes on abusive rant against Raj Thackeray (VIDEO)

New Delhi: Amid the raging debate over loudspeakers in Maharashtra, the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Friday lashed out at Raj Thackeray and referred to him as a ‘barking dog’. The abusive rant by AIMIM leader is set to add fuel to the fire, as Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has taken umbrage over insulting remarks.

Though AIMIM leader refrained from taking name but it was directed at the MNS chief Raj Thackeray. Addressing a gathering, he said “let dogs bark, it is in their habit to bark”.

Akbaruddin is the brother of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

“Let the dogs bark. Lions move on by ignoring them. Ddon’t fall into their trap. Whatever they say, just smile and keep doing your work,” AIMIM leader Akbaruddin told the public.

He made these remarks after visiting the tomb of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Aurangabad, where he offered flowers & paid respects. This is the same city, from Raj Thackeray launched a high-decibel campaign against loudspeakers blaring out azaan from mosques.

In further jibe at the MNS chief, he said that those make big claims have themselves been ousted from their homes.

“I’m not here to bad mouth anyone (MNS chief Raj Thackeray). But, what’s there to say about people who’ve been ousted from their own homes? We’re not afraid,” said Akbaruddin Owaisi.

Row over visit to Aurangzeb, call for action

Owaisi’s visit to the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s tomb has irked political rivals, who have accused AIMIM of fomenting communal trouble.

Hitting out at Owaisi’s visit to cruel Mughal emperor, the MNS called for strict action against him. MNS leader Gajanan Kale said that the party will take action against Owaisi if no legal action was initiated against him.
