Agra: Priest comes weeping with broken lord Krishna idol, hospital bandages god’s arm (VIDEO)

New Delhi: The ground staff at Agra’s district hospital found itself in a perplex situation on Friday, when a priest brought in a broken lord Krishna murti and insisted on to tend to the idol.

A video of the crying priest with an idol of Laddu Gopal’, the childhood form of the deity, with a broken arm has been doing rounds on the internet.

As per some eye-witnesses, the priest reached the hospital at around 9’o clock in the morning. Priest Lekh Pal said that he broke the idol while giving it a bath.

“When I was praying in the morning and giving bath to the idol of the lord, the idol slipped and its arm was broken,” he said.

“I was deeply moved because I am attached with the god. In my desperation, I went to district hospital to get it treated,” he added.

The Chief Medical Superintendent at the district hospital, Dr Ashok Kumar Agrawal said, “I was informed by the hospital that a priest had come with an idol with a broken arm and was crying to get it treated. I was informed by the hospital that a priest had come with an idol with a broken arm and was crying to get it treated. considering the priest’s sentiments we made a registration in the name of Shri Krishna’ for the idol. We also bandaged the idol for the satisfaction of the priest”.
