While the poll panel’s announcement came as welcome surprise for Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The growing footprints of party is being acknowledged by all factions and with this endorsement from the poll panel, this is a big shot in its arm.
“AAP to be recognized as a National Party as it fulfilled the condition of Para 6B(iii) i.e. recognition as a state party in four states, based on poll performance i.e –Delhi, Goa, Punjab and, the latest in Gujarat,” said EC in a press note.
“No one can stop an idea whose time has come. Aam Aadmi Party’s time has come. India’s time has come.”
