New Delhi: Waris Punjab De’s leader Amritpal Singh has been arrested by Punjab Police from Moga, he is likely to be shifted to Dibrugarh, Assam.

The Punjab Police brought him to the Air Force Station, Bathinda.

Fugitive Amritpal Singh has been arrested under the National Security Act.

He was on run since March 18, when Punjab Police launched a massive manhaunt on members of his ‘Waris Punjab De’ outfit.

Earlier, associates of Waris Punjab De’s leader Amritpal Singh were shifted to Assam’s Dibrugarh’jail from Punjab after the Central Intelligence agencies raised concerns over the possibility of jailbreak and repeat of the Ajnala incident on March 11.
On Saturday (April 22), Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that Amritpal Singh’s has been absconding for a long, and his may be arrested soon.
