RS polls for 4 Gujarat seats on June 19, BJP to bag 2 seats easily
The resignations come just two weeks before elections to four Rajya Sabha seats from Gujarat. With Merja’s resignation, a total of eight Congress MLAs have resigned since March.
The elections to fill the pending 18 Rajya Sabha seats from seven states, including four Rajya Sabha seats in Gujarat, will be held on June 19.
BJP looks comfortably placed and is assured of winning 2 seats in the state. The party is eyeing third seat, for which these defections may prove beneficial.
