As PM Modi turns 70 on Sept 17, BJP launches week-long ‘Seva Saptah’… details here

BJP president J P Nadda launched the week long Seva Saptah campaign in Gautam Buddh Nagar district of UP, under which several people welfare programmes will be organsied across the country.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a week-long campaign ‘Seva Saptah’ to mark the 70 birthday of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi which falls on September 17. PM Narendra Modi was born on September 17, 1950.

BJP national president J P Nadda today launched the campaign at Chhaprauli village in Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is turning 70 on September 17. If we look at his life and his journey, seva (service) has been the prime focus in his life. His life has been dedicated to the seva of people and the country. Hence, the BJP has decided to observe September 14-20 week as ‘Seva Saptah’,” Nadda said.

Like every year, several BJP leaders and lakhs of party workers will be seen undertaking social initiatives under the Seva Saptah campaign.

“Since it is his 70th, cleanliness and plantation drives will be conducted at 70 places in every district,” JP Nadda told the gathering.

70 virtual rallies, cleanliness, plantation and more…on PM’s birthday

Seventy is apparently the theme of programmes, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 70 this year.

Nadda said, at least 70 virtual rallies will be organized during the week. Cleanliness and plantation drive will be undertaken at 70 spots of every district.

The party has also set a target of providing at least 70 divyang people with whatever equipment they require.

UP BJP President Swantantra Dev Singh said told media that the party unit will be distributing artificial limbs to 70 differently abled person in every district.

“BJP leaders will distribute fruits at 70 hospitals and poor colonies while donation of plasma to at least 70 Covid-19 patients will be arranged,” the UP BJP President said.

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will organize 70 blood donations camps, at least one in each district of Uttar Pradesh.

Anna Utsav in MP on eve of PM Modi’s birthday

On September 16 i.e. on eve of PM Modi’s birthday, the Madhya Pradesh government will celebrate an ‘Anna Utsav’ (food grains festival), in which 37 lakh new below poverty line (BPL) beneficiaries will be provided food grains on highly subsidised rates, reported a leading daily.

Under the scheme, the beneficiaries will get rice, wheat and salt at Re 1 per kg. Every beneficiary will get 5 kg of food grains per month.
