New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led NDA is likely to retain power in Assam, predicts Exit polls. Most of the exit polls have predicted the return chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Assam.

It is expected that BJP will win 72 of 126 seats, Congress is likely to win 53 seats, says NDTV’s poll of exit polls.

The India Today-Axis My India exit poll has predicted that NDA will secure wins in 75-85 seats. The Congress’s grand-alliance is likely to win 40-50 seats.

The majority mark in the 126-member Assembly is 64.
