New Delhi: Several incidents of autorickshaws carrying passengers more than their capacity have surfaced multiple times. These autorickshaws have been fined. However, despite requests by police the drivers fail to cooperate and continue carrying passengers more than their capacity, sometimes leading to accidents.
But the incident in Uttar Pradesh has been taken as a surprise by policemen who found out that an autorickshaw carrying 27 passengers. A video has gone viral which shows the cops counting the number of heads one by one. The incident took place in Fatepur in central Uttar Pradesh. Although the autorickshaw has the capacity of carrying six people, at least 27 (apart from the driver) were found inside the vehicle when it was stopped. A passerby recorded the video and posts it on social media.

The autorickshaw was stopped by the policemen near the Bindki Kotwali area of Fatehpur when he checked with a speed gun, as per the local media. The over-speeding vehicle was chased down by the police.
Reportedly, when the cops asked the passenger to get down from the vehicle, they were surprised to see 27 people coming out of it.
Meanwhile, the autorickshaw has been seized.
