New Delhi: BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir is being built in Paris in an area of about 5 thousand square meters.
A huge community hall, library, exhibition center, office, and classrooms for children will also be built on the ground and first floor of the temple. There will be a temple on the second floor where the idols of Lord Swaminarayan and other gods and goddesses will be installed.
The construction work of the grand BAPS Hindu temple being built in Paris, the capital of France, will be completed by the end of next year 2026.
After the completion of the construction work, the idol consecration ceremony will be organized and the temple will be opened for visitors. BAPS Swaminarayan temples, which propagate Sanatan Dharma worldwide, are famous for their grandeur. This temple is being built in Paris at the same place where Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Ji Maharaj had gone about 36 years ago.
Indian citizens living in France are extremely excited about the construction of the BAPS Swaminarayan temple in Paris.
The BAPS Swaminarayan temple is under construction in Paris, spanning approximately 5,000 square meters. The temple’s ground and first floors will feature a spacious community hall, a library, an exhibition center, offices, and classrooms for children.
The second floor of the temple will house the main shrine, where the idol of Lord Swaminarayan will be installed. Additionally, idols of Lord Shankar, Mata Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Shri Ram-Janaki, Radha-Krishna, and Hanuman Ji will also be consecrated.
On June 4, 2024, the foundation stone for the BAPS Hindu temple in Paris was laid. Earlier, in July 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with BAPS representatives and project team members in Paris to learn about the temple’s construction plans.
BAPS has established over 1,200 temples worldwide, including in the UAE and the United States, with approximately 800 temples in India alone. Globally, the organization has a following of more than one million devotees.
Earlier this month, the idol consecration ceremony of the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple took place in Johannesburg, South Africa. This temple is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
