Bihar: 20-year-old girl gang-raped, body found floating in the canal in Vaishali district

New Delhi: In a heart wrenching incident, a body of 20-year-old Dalit girl was found floating in the village pond of the Tisiota police station area of  in Bihar’s Vaishali district.

According to reports of Times of India, the semi-naked body of the girl was found in the canal after which the police was notified.

Body of the dalit girl was sent to Hajipur Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

The SHO of the Tisiauta Police Station,Prabhunath Yadav,  said that the mother of the girl had filed a police complaint against four named defendants –  Manoj Choudhary, Rakesh Kumar, Anurag Kumar  and Anshu Kumar – and  six others.

The mother of the deceased claimed that her daughter was gang-raped and killed on December 20 by local youths. Later she was forcibly abducted from her home.

The SHO said, that the case has been registered in various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the police are investigating the incident.

Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas President Chirag Paswan has asked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to order a high-level inquiry and ensure speedy justice to the victim’s family.

The villagers are not only demanding justice and for the deceased but they also conducted a candle march in the village.
