CBI refutes Sisodia’s charges, calls it ‘attempt to divert attention from liquor policy probe’

The CBI, in more searing statement, said that the misleading statement by Sisodia was a deliberate attempt by him to divert attention from the ongoing probe into Delhi Excise Policy case.

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday rebutted the charges leveled by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on the death of its officer and also termed it ‘mischievous & misleading’ in nature.

Manish Sisodia, launching fresh wave of barbs at the Central agency had alleged that a CBI officer died because he was pressured to frame him in the excise policy case. Sisodia claimed that the officer couldn’t take pressure & chose to kill himself.

The CBI, in more searing statement, said that the misleading statement by Sisodia was a deliberate attempt by him to divert attention from the ongoing probe into Delhi Excise Policy case.

It further said that no one has got clean chit in the case and the Delhi government’s excise policy is well under probe.
